Jane continues to work with John Friend, and senior Anusara teachers to deepen her understanding of Anusara yoga. In addition, Jane has studied with Barbara Benagh, Doug Keller, Shari Friedrichsen, Rodney Yee, Erich Schiffman, Patricia Walden, Richard Freeman and others to continually expand into the depth and breath of yoga. Meditation is the natural extension of one's yoga practice. Vipassana meditation is Jane's primary method with much of her practice inspired by the teachings of Jack Kornfield during retreats at Insight Meditation Center in Barre, Massachusetts. Silence has been her other teacher. Jane recently graduated from a two year program in Spiritual Direction at the Haden Institute in North Carolina. This program offered yet another lens to understand and convey how Grace moves in one's life, one's dreams and in synchronistic events. Jane is a Registered Nurse and holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration. She conveys her love of the "path" through her personal dedication, curiosity and practice, her warmth, her enthusiasm and her sincere caring for her students. Our spiritual life is not about "achieving or competing", but about finding that eternally quiet space within ourselves that then becomes the conduit to connecting to something much greater than ourselves. "There can be no dance of the soul, without the still point" T.S. Eliot |
